All Animals Veterinary Hospital - new facility

Dr. Greg Thomas has been practicing Veterinary Medicine very successfully in a relatively small and vibrant community near Nashville, TN for many years. So many years in fact he had grown out of his facility that he had renovated more than once.
Dr. Thomas bought the adjacent property to his existing facility that was beautiful and perfect for a new building. There are several unique features of this physical plant, including mixing large and small animal clients. He continues to use his large animal barn in the rear of the site, but the clients have a separate entry (from the front small animal access) into the new facility to check in with the receptionist.
Another special feature is the covered drive-up Porte Cachere that allows clients with patients to be protected from the elements and also serves as an easily-accessable Emergency Entrance. Clients with emergencies can pull up and quickly enter the hospital from the side then be whisked into an Emergency Triage Room off the Lobby space.
Included in the bank of Exam Rooms is a Special Procedures Room for sophisticated diagnostics. The layout of the Action Room (Treatment Room) and adjacent work spaces like the ICU, Surgery, Wards and Isolation Room was dictated by the site.We took advantage of it's visibility from the Waiting Area by designing a curved wall and bank of windows.
Dr. Thomas wanted durable, yet beautiful finishes and we chose to use a stained concrete floor in the Public Areas like the Entry Porch and Lobby and Waiting areas. The earth tones and patterns reminds clients of more expensive covering like stone or marble.
Clear circulation for the Public and Staff, functional postioning of work spaces and use of finishes, materials and natural light, make All Animals Veterinary Hospital a great place for Clients, Patients and Staff to visit and work. This new Animal Hospital is a valuable asset to the community, which Dr. Thomas has been for many years.
